This is hello who are you then don't even think about it
St. Peter (Simone of
There is no one substantial fact that I can put forward that St. Peter is buried in
All I can do is follow the research of those biblical scholars that have spent century’s research this. I can also assure you that I have spent over three hours research this afternoon on this.
The most important point I can make to prove that peter did live in
I have no doubt that St. Peter was martyred, and hence since he can be placed in
As to the place of his burial, I can not put any hard evidence to this, I point out for some reason the empire Constantine I Died 337AD commissioned a basilica on Vatican hill, This basilica could have been built with greater ease to the south this site but it may have been built on the Vatican hill as there was a small Aedicula there that could have marked his place of interment or the place of his crucifixion. On the other hand there is some evidence to say to his remains and those of Paul where placed Ad Catacumbas, but then again there is a belief that his remains where never collected after his crucifixion.
There where a box of bones recovered from under the alter in St. Peters in 1939 that is believed to be his but there is no evidence as yet to support this.
I accept Peter as the first Pope simply as he was chosen by Christ to be so. At this time there was only one church and it the universal Christian church hence a Catholic Church

Questioning Your Faith.
Should you question you faith or to be more correct your beliefs. I find it an important part of life to question all things in my life from my love of my wife and children and there feelings for me to the simplest things like the price of eggs. In this way I find meaning in things and understanding that my make me wonder why I believe in something to strengthening my faith in life or God, or benefit of eggs for breakfast weighed up against disadvantage this my have on my cholesterol levels.
By asking the question of your self is this right or is there a God you may come to a better understanding of why you believe there is a good or that his teaching are right for you, then you may find that his teaching are wrong and then you must question the ethics and morality you live by.
If there is no God then way is all law based on the Ten Commandments and then way is it wrong to steal or covert via neighbors wife or even to kill.
Then if there is a God, why are these things wrong, in particular to kill as would you not be doing god by sending someone to paradise?

I think it might be the age I am, or it could be that I just think in imperial measures but I always convert the price of petrol from litres to gallons so a $1.60 is $6.10 a gallon, my first car used to cost $5 to fill with petrol. Those of you that read my blog on a regular basses know that I believe that we have to live with these prices and that when you buy your next car factor in that petrol will be at lest $1 a litre more and now I am thinking you may need to factor a rise over the life of your car of $2 a litre. If you are falcon or comerdor driver then start to think how big a car you need because you will feel the pain of petrol prices and to be honest start to think about the fact that the petrol will run out in 30 years and all we have at the moment are stop gap measures but not replacement for the inturnal combustion engine. I feel sorry for the peple who actually need a 4wd, not those that have one in the city and waste petrol and demage the roads, to be honest I think the urban cowboys or should I say the urban cowgirls should be taxed off the road. You drive your tanks down to sip you latte and talk about environmental issues, you hypocrites. SgW.
Cold Morning Thoughts
I read with interest Doug’s post over the weekend and it got me thinking as I am want to do about God and religion in general terms. It always seems to come back to a point with me and an understanding of faith, if faith works for you then it is a good thing. You can replace faith with belief if you like here as some people may not believe in God yet may have a strong belief in their ethics and morality as well of that of the over all world to bring about the right out come, in the end.
A good Muslim is as good a man as a good Christian. As a good person is just that a good person, and you would find that all good people believe in much the same things.
I find that good people support charities that maybe of a religious nature with out holding any religious belief them selves. They can see the good that is done by groups like the salvo’s and St. Vinnies and they’re for help them in their work. I do not think that a good person should look for glory for his giving it should be done a humble way and with no expectation of recognition of what has been given or of self-praise of what the person has done. If this looked for then you are not helping but just trying to bring glory on yourself.
You can follow the teaching of Christ in your every day life without a belief in God at all and may not even know you are doing so, or you can appear at you church each Sunday or at the temple or where ever you worship God and not following the true teaching of Christ, Mohammed or whomever. If you are this person then just do not go.
Men not God have corrupted religion over the centuries, but there have also been good men who have lifted it high and served not just God but mankind well. Religion should be judged by the works of these men and not by those who have not served God and mankind but them selves.
(I have used the term man here for mankind; I am not pc and will not be so.)

The doctor offers 5 cents a litre off and will take 1.5 billion out of the treasury coffers to save a motorist around $3.50, you would think a doctor would rather see this money go into the stuffed hospital system. People need to get used to the price of petrol it is going to get more expensive and there is going to be a lot less of it and in 30 years there will be none.
Doctor, doctor give the kids Alco pops to get them hocked on booze and sell it to them cheap so they can binge it down, Brendan maybe you should drop the price of smokes back to under $5 a pack and introduce $1 Schooners.
Don’t forget to block supply and lets have another election, we don’t need!
Thanks Doctor Idiot and the dumb and dumber, rich boys club.

Francis had no bandwidth in his room with the Acer, seem the cheap wireless connection just was just not strong enough up there so I now have the Acer back in the living room and he has the Imac up in his room as it flys on the wireless network and I can connected the Acer by Ethernet in the living room does not worry me so much using a PC but I miss the simplicity of my Mac but not the problems I have been having with it.
Took me all day to set it up again the way I like it it had so many problems and had not had a good clean out since I gave it to him 12 months ago. I have done a clean install of the original software and then added Photoshop elements for photos and pulled all the files off my ipod on to here. Then loaded WOW which turned out to be the biggest job of them all, it took 3 hours to get right.
I was in bed at half nine but as usual I am back up now to the wee hours not able to sleep and of course the old mate the nightmares were there to get me no us laying there worrying about them, just get up and oing something to get over it.

Look how small cameras have got and this little camera does all my SLR did. The ipod not only stores all my music and movies but also my photos address book and I use it as a portable hard drive.
The blue pen oh that keeps me alive.

My 2 bobs worth
I haven't left bigblog but I have another blog, which I post the same as I post here to. The biggest problem I have on bigblog is not the chatters but it is so dam Mac unfriendly. Yes I know I am one of the strange 10%who us Apple computers but I photography and this is by far the best format for working with pictures and to be honest my Mac just works. Except on bigblog when I want to upload a picture I have to use a PC lucky I have a PC laptop or I would be buggered.
I have been with bigpond since 1999 and using Macs since 2000, when I went from dial up to broadband, Telstra in there wisdom sent a tech out to do the install after an hour of him buggering around I had to do it for him in five minutes. This is what bigpond call Mac support.
The chatter piss me off I can’t think of another term for it because to be honest I would like to put there mobile phones where the sun don’t shine, but I believe that Telstra knows dam well what they are doing and they like it, all those extra dollars for the three amigos.
Why are the blogs so slow to load and that is if they work at all. I am using a very fast cable connection and it took Tim’s page 2 minutes to load a little while ago at 2 in the morning when I am the only one in the house on line.
Now I will post this and because it is the early hours of the morning I am likely to get hit by the chatters.

Diabetic and Quarter Pounder
I just logged on to my bigblog and the banner add at the top of the blog is for the Golden Arches Quarter Pounder! Great add for a diabetic bloggers blog of fog since the fog is thanks in part to the big M's sugar infested food, that I spent 22 years eating while driving a harry nab. To be honest I always preferred the Mc Feast, but the quarter pounder was easer to eat while driving. Mc feast mmmmmm.

Sunday Morning
So it is the Sabbath, well at lest the day we treat as the seventh day of the week. We have had a quit long weekend here at home in Ashfield not doing much at all and on Friday I saw Bev have a lazy b\day which is a strange thing for my wife who just doesn’t sit down at all as a rule she always has to be doing something.
Had this real family night last night all watching TV and playing wow together in the living room talking joking, and just enjoying being a family. I am appreciating this time a lot more these days as I know there nearly over. Celeste is 23 and getting engaged soon and Francis will be 16 this year and loves to spend time with his mates more and more, in a few short years it will be Bev and I here. Not that long ago they were babies you know it is strange how you don’t notice the time going by as your children grow up.
I have been luckier then most fathers as I have been here with them for most things just by the nature of what I did for a living and me being the one that stayed home with Celeste when she was a baby.
There lot of talk about weather there is a God or not but when you see your child born it reinforces you belief in the almighty. Well it did mine.

Prayer
Prayer to is more like meditation, i was always taught that the purpose of prayer was to bring you closer to God., not to get the new Ducati you want. A lot of Catholics believe that if you pray to a saint you may receive a miracle, personally I don't. Prayer is a subject a lot of Christens have a misconception of. It is a form of meditation to bring you closer to God, and a way to a greater faith. Not to gain what you think you need.
Let’s first touch on praying for the sick and dying, the idea of prayer here is to gain comfort, to bring you closer to God and to gain repose for the soul. Then we pray for guidance this is a form of meditation which as pray your mind should clear and allow your thoughts to bring you to the right decision.

What is the biggest environmental danger to our planet? Greenhouse gases or the over population of the earth. The current population of the earth 6.662 billon. Though out human history the plaint has supported a population of about 2 billon people up until the nineteenth century when it began to move toward 3 billon.
3 or 4 billon is sustainable but once you move beyond that number you start to see the things we see now, a major lessening of the oceans fish stocks, the destruction of forests and mass extinction of other species, and then we come to green house gases. These are increasing at an alarming number, pushed up by the industrial growth in to of the largest countries of the old third world, India and China. The wholesale clearing of forests in Indonesia and The Amazon, once considered the earths lungs.
Why? I guess the simple answer is as humans we are to smart for our own good. Where a hundred year ago a brake out of flu would wipe out hundreds of millions of people from the worlds population today it just slows the population growth trend, but does not lower it. There has not been a major war in 60+ years now and the small conflicts going on at the moment out side of those in Africa do not have a high mortality rate.
What is the answer? Ultimately extinction, or a at lesser point starvation and fall back into a less evolved society.
In truth I don’t have the answer to this but I can see the problem.
More to come.
